The event is organized in the region for the first time. The first day of the large-scale festival is called "Tagylym".
A scientific and practical conference began today in the Mangilik El hall of the K.Zhubanov Regional University. At the meeting, held on the theme "Ulttyk rukh Tugyr", famous scientists and public figures discussed issues of history, culture and national identity.
"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the third meeting of the National Kurultai, held in March this year, focused on the key values that define the new face of the nation. These are independence and patriotism, unity and cohesion, justice and responsibility, law and order, diligence and professional competence, creativity and innovation. Today we have a big goal in front of us – to educate a person who achieves success through honest work. If every person deserves the title of "honest citizen", a just society will be established in our country. An urgent problem remains the indifference of contemporaries to national traditions, customs and rituals, their disregard in family education. Today's conference is organized to provide food for thought, to help distinguish between black and white, good and bad. And the festival is held on the initiative of Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov. Science should be the main value for our people. If any business is done based on science and reflection, it will be successful. Therefore, we decided to start the festival with an event held jointly with scientists and intellectuals," said Deputy Akim of the region Zholdas Batyrkhan.
The head of the department of Aktobe Regional University named after K.Zhubanov, Candidate of Philosophy Umbetkan Sarsembin made an overview on the topic of national identity in the historical space of Kazakh culture, as well as the continuity of the past and present. Poet, translator, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Gulimai Abishkyzy emphasized the importance of personal responsibility of each person in instilling national values and sympathy for society. Also at the conference were the vice-rector of Zhubanova University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rahim Beknazarov, member of the regional council of mothers Gulshat Bakhtiyarova, local historian Bekarystan Myrzabai and other scientists.
As part of the five-day festival of traditions, a fashion show of national clothes and an exhibition-fair of crafts "Dauir defilesi" will be held. It will also be possible to watch the Salburyn competitions dedicated to hunting and national sports. In addition, an exhibition of dishes is planned. A charity event will be held on the final day.
