Deputy Minister of Tourism and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev held a reporting meeting with the population of Ulytau region, where he spoke about the current activities of the ministry, reforms in the field of Tourism and sports. The event was attended by representatives of the sports and tourism industry, residents of the region.
At the meeting, Yerzhan Yerkinbayev noted the steady growth of tourism in Kazakhstan, and this year was a successful year for the industry. He also said that according to the results of nine months of this year, the number of domestic tourists increased by 562 thousand people and reached a total of 6 million. During this period, 21 thousand tourists were served in ulytau region. And the placement places earned 498 million tenge.
In addition, special attention is paid to the development of tourist infrastructure in the region. Because the region has such important tourist facilities as the National Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve Museum "Ulytau" and the historical and cultural complex "Jochi Khan".
Yerzhan Yerkinbayev noted the importance of such environmentally friendly and affordable recreation areas as ecotourism and glamping. The development of ecotourism will increase the number of visitors to national parks in Kazakhstan and contribute to the formation of an ecological culture. Currently, there are 14 national parks in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the development of sports in the region was also discussed. Currently, 77,943 people are engaged in sports in the region, including 16,809 rural residents. There are 10 children's and youth sports schools that develop 36 sports. This year, the construction of a sports and Recreation Complex for 320 seats has been completed in Zhezkazgan. By the end of the year, it is planned to put into operation a sports complex in the village of Zhezdy and an indoor swimming pool in Karazhal.
At the end of the reporting meeting, the deputy minister answered the citizens ' questions and listened to their suggestions.
