Results of the year: army athletes won 463 medals in the past year

In 2024, athletes of the Army Central Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan demonstrated outstanding achievements on the world stage. In total, they won 463 medals. 203 gold, 120 silver and 140 bronze. This year, athletes of the Army Central Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan won 21 licenses to represent Kazakhstan at the Olympic Games in Paris in 10 sports: boxing, judo, wrestling, shooting, gymnastics, modern pentathlon and others.

Four of the seven medals won by the Kazakh national team at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris belong to army athletes. They won 49 medals at the World Championships, 32 medals at the Asian Championships, 245 medals at the Kazakhstan Championships and 133 medals at international tournaments.
Army athletes participated in more than 20 major sporting events with the support of the International Council for Military Sports (CISM) and within the CIS. These included the 7th Asian CISM meeting in China, the CISM World Championships in judo, wrestling, taekwondo and volleyball, as well as the CISM tournament between educational organizations of defense departments in Russia. Defense Minister Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov positively assessed the resumption of relations with the international military-sports organization CISM and announced that the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan will be given a place in its management next year.
The CIS military sports complex all-around competition, army hand-to-hand combat and shooting championships were held.
In addition, the final of the hand-to-hand combat world cup "Cup of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held in Astana, and Army General S.K. An international boxing tournament dedicated to the memory of Nurmagambetov was held.
Year results: military athletes were awarded more than 150 sports titles and ranks in military-applied sports
In the international arena, the honor of the country is defended by 12 Honored Masters of Sports of Kazakhstan, 77 Masters of Sports of international level, 70 Masters of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and two candidates for Masters of Sports.
This year alone, 158 sports titles and ranks in military-applied sports were awarded for high performance. Of these, Masters of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 37 and Candidates for Masters of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 18. In the championships held by the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 42 servicemen of the 1st rank; 33 military personnel of the II rank and 28 military personnel of the III rank were confirmed.
Following the results of the sports work, several structural divisions and military personnel of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded for their achievements and organization of sports and mass work. They took first place at the Spartakiad of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Military Representatives of the Ministry of Defense, becoming the best among structural divisions. Senior Sergeant Asilbek Umirzakuli Karabay was named the best male athlete of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Sergeant Ayazhan Bolatovna Amirzhanova was named the best female athlete.
Year Results: AOSK Military Sports College will be opened in the Armed Forces
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue to implement systematic changes in the field of physical culture and sports, providing children of military personnel with the opportunity to develop sports skills, and also conducting training for them.
In 2024, a plan will be developed and implemented to reorient the "Zhas ulan" Republican School as an AOSK Military Sports College, as well as to resume physical culture and sports courses at the Military Institute of the Ground Forces. When enrolling in a military college, priorities will be taken into account for children of military personnel, children from large families, and children from rural areas.
As part of the program to promote national sports, the first World Championship in Kazakh wrestling among military personnel will be held in Astana in 2025.
In addition, more than seven thousand children of military personnel will be trained free of charge in judo, Kazakh wrestling, sambo, boxing, mini-football, table tennis, chess and checkers, togyzkumalak and other sports in the sports complexes of eight garrisons and three training centers.
