Our fellow countrywoman Bizhamal Karzhaubayeva is turning 103 this year. The akim of Abay region Nurlan Urankhayev specially visited the elderly woman, who is over a century old, to congratulate her and find out about her well-being.

Our grandmother from Ak-Zhauli was born on January 1, 1922 in the village of Boke, Zharma district. Like her contemporaries, she devoted her youth to home front work under the slogan "All for the front, all for Victory." In the post-war years, she contributed to the improvement of rural life.

In the 1970s, she worked as a secretary in the village council, and in 1981-1985, she worked as a farm manager in a boarding school. She retired in 1985. Currently, the elderly woman is a treasured person who has 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The regional akim learned about the grandmother's condition and listened to her inspiring story. Noting that the old woman's life path is an example for young people, he wished her good health and presented her with a gift.

“A house with an elderly person is a treasure. Our elders, who have seen and experienced a lot in life like you, are like iron pillars for us. Your work for the people and the generation will not be forgotten. We will grow up looking up to you,” said the regional head.

Age Bijamal thanked the regional akim for the special congratulations and gave her a motherly blessing.
