At the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year, Abay Oblast had 32 independent technical and vocational educational organizations (hereinafter referred to as TVEs).

The total number of students was 21,452 thousand people, of which 10,537 thousand people or 49.1% were women. Compared to the 2023-2024 academic year, the number of students decreased by 2.1%.

65.9% of the total number of students received education on the basis of basic secondary education, 27.7% on the basis of general secondary education, and 6.4% on the basis of TVEs.

14 760  thousand people study, which is 68.8% of the total number of students, paid educational services are received by 6 692 thousand people or 31.2% of students.

1,679 teachers and 155 production trainers work in technical and vocational education organizations, the proportion of women is 70.1% and 39.4%, respectively.

Methodological comments

The statistical bulletin includes data on the material and technical resources, contingent, network and teaching staff of technical and vocational education organizations of all forms of ownership, owned by the department.

Colleges - educational institutions that implement general education curricula of general secondary education and vocational curricula of technical and vocational, post-secondary education educational institutions that provide education.

Enrollment in educational institutions is the number of people admitted to study at this educational institution in accordance with the approved admission rules. The number of admitted persons does not include those who have been readmitted to study.

Graduates are the number of persons who have completed the entire course of study at an educational institution and received the corresponding education (specialty).

All data are grouped by the form of education, the form of ownership of the educational institution, as well as by the sources of financing the educational process.
