Today, the system operators of the countries (from the Republic of Kazakhstan - JSC "KEGOC", from the Republic of Azerbaijan - OJSC "Azerenergy", from the Republic of Uzbekistan - JSC "National Grids of Uzbekistan") signed the Founding Agreement on the implementation of the agreement on the project for the production and transmission of green energy, signed by the heads of state of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on November 13, 2024. The implementation of this project, also known as the "Green Corridor", will increase trade opportunities, taking into account new initiatives such as the "Green Deal" of the European Union.

According to the Minister of Energy A. Satkaliyev, this project will create unique opportunities for realizing the potential of renewable energy development in the region, increasing the reliability of international energy supplies.
