In 2024, more than 700 MW of energy generation capacity will be commissioned

In order to provide the country's economy and population with energy security and reliable energy supply, in 2024, the Republic of Kazakhstan will introduce energy generation with a total capacity of more than 700 MW.
This year, the 500 MW Ekibastuz MAES-1 power unit No. 1 was commissioned, the 65 MW Atyrau CHPP No. 6 turbo unit and the 43 MW Zhezkazgan CHPP No. 8 boiler unit were replaced, and the 163.35 MW Zhezkazgan CHPP projects were successfully implemented.
The modernization of the above-mentioned stations is aimed at increasing the installed power capacity and renewing the fleet resource.
In turn, the introduction of renewable energy sources allowed to increase the share of green generation and provide the country with additional power.
