The construction of 257 schools with a capacity of 373 thousand students has been completed in our country. This has made it possible to solve the problem of shortage of places in 42 three-shift schools and 20 emergency schools located in 148 settlements. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

Systematic work is being carried out at the expense of budget funds and by attracting investments to solve the problem of three-shift training and emergency schools.

 

Within the framework of the "Cozy School" national project initiated by the Head of State, 105 schools with a capacity of 254 thousand students were put into operation at the beginning of the academic year, of which more than 40% are in rural areas located.

 

25 schools with a capacity of 27 thousand students were commissioned under the Education Infrastructure Support Fund. An additional five schools and The construction of a boarding school for 3.3 thousand places is underway. The bulk of the construction of educational facilities is being carried out in Zhetysu, Kyzylorda, West Kazakhstan, Akmola regions and Almaty city. The implementation of these projects will help reduce the shortage of places for students in schools and boarding schools, as well as solve the problem of a dilapidated building in one school allows. The construction of 89 schools with a total capacity of 100 thousand students was financed with funds confiscated from corrupt officials.

 

Also, 127 schools for 92 thousand students were built using republican and local budget funds and private investments.

 

In addition to the launch of new facilities, extensive work was carried out to improve the existing infrastructure:

• 254 secondary schools are undergoing major renovation passed;

• 1621 modern classrooms for 967 schools were purchased;

• 1 thousand rural schools were renovated in accordance with modern standards;

• The technical equipment of more than 10 thousand educational organizations with security systems has been improved.
