Next year, 105 specialists of the Kazvodkhoz institution will take advanced training courses in China. The corresponding agreement was reached by Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov during a meeting with representatives of the Chinese company Power China in Kazakhstan.

West Kazakhstan Region
The Kazvodkhoz branch in the West Kazakhstan region has released 14 reservoirs for receiving flood waters in the spring by an average of 50%. To date, there are about 247 million cubic meters of free space in the reservoirs owned by the institution. During the flood season, the Branch plans to release about 500 million cubic meters of water into estuaries, lakes and reservoirs.

In preparation for the flood period, the branch of the D. Kunaev Grand Almaty Canal of the Kazvodkhoz institution pumped 30% of the water from the Bartogai reservoir and 20% from the Kurtin reservoir. Thus, two warehouses can hold about 420 million cubic meters of water for safe spring floods.

This year, a record amount has accumulated in the country's reservoirs - more than 75 billion cubic meters of water. Of these, there are more than 12 billion cubic meters of flood waters.
It is important that the correct distribution of flood waters not only filled reservoirs, but also allowed water to be directed into rivers and lakes, meadows, natural pastures and other reservoirs that have become dry in recent years.

Since the beginning of the year, Lake Balkhash has received 15.4 billion cubic meters of water, which is 4 billion cubic meters more than last year. Of these, 3.3 billion cubic meters of water were received during the flood.

Since the beginning of the year, 17 billion cubic meters of water have entered the Caspian Sea. For the first time in 10 years, the Kapshagai reservoir in the Almaty region was filled to 100% and collected more than 18 billion cubic meters of water.
