President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's working trip to the capital began with a visit to Kazakhstan International School Astana (KIS Astana).
The educational institution covers an area of more than 20 thousand square meters and is designed for 800 schoolchildren and 120 preschool children. The school has the prestigious accreditation of the International Baccalaureate (IB), which is represented by three programs: Primary (Primary Years Program, PYP) – for children aged 5 to 11 years, middle (Middle Years Program, MYP) – for children aged 11 to 16 years and high school (Diploma Program, IB) – for students aged 16-19 years.
Classrooms are equipped with modern technologies that create comfortable conditions for learning and unlocking the potential of each student. The school also has a sports infrastructure: a football stadium, a tennis court, a mini-football field and two swimming pools.
During the visit, the President noted the importance of improving the level of education in Kazakhstan, emphasizing that such institutions play a key role in training competitive and comprehensively developed young people.
