Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education met with residents of Zhambyl region
Yesterday, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Yeshenkulov met with residents of Zhambyl region in the building of Kulansky Agrotechnical Higher College.
The meeting was attended by Deputy akim of the region Serik Salimov, akim of the district Yernar Yesirkepov, representatives of the intelligentsia and various public associations, local residents.
At the meeting, Talgat Yeshenkulov informed the population about the ongoing work on allocating funds for science, new training programs and the practical application of scientific developments.
According to him, the volume of government orders for personnel training is growing every year. More than 94.2 thousand grants have been allocated for the 2024-2025 academic year. Of these, more than 78.2 thousand were awarded bachelor's degrees, 13.1 thousand for master's degrees and 2.9 thousand for doctoral studies.
In addition, 5,000 targeted educational grants have been allocated for the youth of newly educated and densely populated regions and western regions.
Talgat Yeshenkulov noted that in the 2024-2025 academic year, a pilot project is being implemented to allocate differentiated grants with partial tuition fees. Also, the draft law On the introduction of the unified voluntary accumulative system "Keleshek" was approved in the second reading by the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Now it will be sent to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for signature.
Broadly covering the work of the ministry, the official noted that in order to develop cooperation and apply innovative learning technologies, negotiations were held and memoranda were signed with such large companies as Coursera, Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan, Binance Kazakhstan. As a result, the Huawei ICT Academy was established on the basis of 40 universities to provide Huawei certified courses.
At the end of the meeting, the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education received the residents on personal issues.
