Mangystau residents who helped during the plane crash were awarded state awards

By decree of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a number of state awards were awarded to citizens who helped during the plane crash in Aktau.
In his interview with the newspaper "Ana Tili", the President noted the courage of citizens during the rescue and assistance to victims of the plane crash in Aktau.
- Our rescuers, doctors, and police officers acted promptly, coherently, and showed professionalism and civic responsibility. Employees of the Mangystau regional electric grid company, who were located near the scene of the tragedy, immediately came to the aid of the victims. The locals did not stand aside either. Thanks to such dedication of our citizens, the maximum possible number of lives were saved. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who took part in the rescue efforts. The solidarity and sympathy of the Kazakh people for the victims of the aviation disaster is evidenced by the fact that our citizens rushed to donate blood en masse," the head of state said.
Today, on January 5, Governor of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai, in accordance with the presidential decree, presented state awards and letters of thanks to a group of citizens who showed courage, professionalism and responsibility during the crash of the Azerbaijani Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Aktau.
During the solemn event, Aibek Alibayev, a criminologist at the Police Department of the Mangystau region of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was awarded the Order of Aybyn II degree named after Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, and a firefighter and rescuer from the fire department No. 12 of the Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Service of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Mangystau region, was awarded the Order of Aybyn III degree named after Rahimzhan Koshkarbayev. Olzhas Baytore, head of the department of the Long-range radio marker station of the military unit 30153 of the Ministry of Defense Botagarin Nurlan, commander of the fire department No. 12 of the village of Baskudyk of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Mangystau region Seribolat Ongar, employee of the fire extinguishing and rescue service of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Mangystau region, senior firefighter and rescue officer of the extinguishing department Marlen Sarkenov.
The Order of "Kurmet" was awarded to Irina Kochergina, head of the medical center of Aktau International Airport JSC, and Bakytzhan Koibekov, head of the center of Mangystau Regional Multidisciplinary Hospital.
The Yerligi Ushin medal was awarded to the driver of the branch of the State Institution "Center for Disaster Medicine" in the Mangystau region-orderly Kozhabek Allabergenov, rescuer of the Russian State Institution "Ambulance" of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Mangystau region Manas Bauyltov, co-pilot of the aircraft of JSC "Kazaviakutkaru" Estemes Alisher, paramedic of the State Enterprise "Mangystau Regional Ambulance and Emergency Medical Station" Timur Kisaev, commander of the aircraft of Kazaviakutkaru JSC, Askhat Kudabaev, paramedic of the Center for Disaster Medicine branch in Mangystau region, Zamanbek Kubaidullaev, doctor of the Center for Disaster Medicine branch in Mangystau region, Ospan Orazbekov, Aktau branch of Kazaeronavigation RSE,HSE Dispatcher Yaroslav Tolstikov, master of Aktau the district of electric networks of JSC Mangystau Regional Electric Grid Company Shopanov Nuraly.
The Yeren enbegi Ushin medal was awarded to Yesen Zhan, psychologist of the Mangystau region branch of the Center for Disaster Medicine, Zhumagulov Bekbolat, Deputy Head of the Aktau International Airport Service, and Orazaliev Eldar, specialist of the Mangystau region branch of the Center for Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Letters of thanks were also presented to 51 people on behalf of the president.
Akim of the region Nurdaulet Kilybai appealed to the citizens who provided assistance to the victims.
- You have shown courage and humanity in saving lives, acting promptly at a critical hour. Your labors and exploits are a vivid example of the unity of our region and civic responsibility.
You have proved once again that there are many resilient and strong people in Mangystau. I sincerely thank you for your help,– said Nurdaulet Kilybai.
Nuraly Shopanov, an employee of MREK JSC, who was one of the first to arrive at the scene, believes that anyone in his place would have done the same.
- We were at the workplace. When we saw the plane crash, we ran to help without hesitation. Without even thinking about the fact that the plane might explode. There was only a thought to get the injured out as soon as possible," said Nuraly Shopanov.
Paramedic Timur Kisaev provided emergency medical care at the crash site.
- On 12/25/2024, at about 11 a.m., a call was received from the senior dispatcher. It was reported that the plane was planning to make an emergency landing. We immediately rushed to help. We examined the victims and provided first aid," Timur Kizaev said.
Saken Akmanov, district inspector of the Tupkaragan district police Department, shared his impressions.
- As soon as the plane hit the ground, the guards headed to the scene in a matter of minutes. After hearing the screams of people inside the plane, the police, together with specialists from the Mangystau Regional Electric Grid Company, began rescuing passengers from the aircraft and handing over the injured to the doctors. We usually only saw this in movies, and for many of us it was a shock," the policeman said.
