Systematic work is being carried out in the healthcare sector of the Makanshi district. As part of the national project "Modernization of rural healthcare", outpatient clinics are being built in 8 settlements of the district. The facility in the village of Beket has already been commissioned. In addition, the resumption of the construction of an outpatient clinic in the village of Makanshy, which includes a day hospital, a laboratory and a women's consultation, the decision of which has been delayed for many years, has become a great joyous event for the residents of the district. It is planned that the facility will be commissioned in May 2025.
For the first time, a CT scanner was purchased at the district hospital. Successful work is also underway to provide the hospital with the necessary medical staff. In 2024, young specialists were hired — an ultrasound diagnostician, a cardiologist and a pulmonologist, and this year a radiologist and a rehabilitologist will join their ranks.
According to the results of last year, the birth rate in the district increased by 12.1% compared to 2023. No cases of maternal and child mortality have been recorded. The incidence rate among the population decreased by 1.8%.
Currently, residents of the district are provided with medical services by 1 clinical diagnostic hospital, 9 rural outpatient clinics, 3 paramedic and obstetric centers, 6 medical centers and 8 clinical departments.
