The Department of Emergency Situations of the Karaganda region summed up the results of the past sports year. Bauyrzhan Tekenov, senior firefighter and rescuer of the HRC-1, became the best athlete of the year.
He earned this title for his achievements in the international arena. At the World Men's Fire and Rescue Championships in Harbin (China), Bauyrzhan won bronze in the 100-meter steeplechase, and also set an absolute record for Kazakhstan in the two-man event.
The title of "Best Coach of the Year" was awarded to Fedor Suslov, a coach in fire and rescue sports. His contribution to the training of athletes who achieved high results was noted by the leadership of the Emergency Department.
Margulan Amanbayev, the head of the Emergency Department of the Karaganda region, also awarded letters of thanks and gifts to the national football, volleyball, kettlebell lifting and hand-to-hand combat teams.
These teams demonstrated a high level of skill and made a significant contribution to the popularization of sports among emergency personnel.
Special attention was paid to the driver, Ulan Kaynazar, an employee of the fire department No. 15, who became a participant in the popular reality project "100 Sarbaz" on the Jibek Joly TV channel. He was awarded a diploma on behalf of the General Director of the NAO "Teleradiocomplex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
