In 2024, the total volume of grain transportation along the line of JSC NC"Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" amounted to 10.6 million tons.
Domestic traffic increased by 13% and exceeded 2.5 million tons, and exports amounted to 8.1 million tons.
Last year, grain traffic increased to the countries of Central Asia: Tajikistan — by 20%, Kyrgyzstan — by 92%, Azerbaijan-by 86%. Grain shipments to Iran have doubled.
The transportation of powder products also showed positive dynamics. In 2024, the volume of Transportation amounted to 3.2 million tons, which is 2% more than in 2023. Exports of powder products increased by 3% to 2.3 million tons.
Exports of powder products to Central Asian countries, including Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, are growing, where there is a significant increase of 4%, 5% and 41%. China increased imports of Kazakhstani powder products by 34%.
The transportation of socially significant goods, such as grain and powder products, is under special control. To coordinate transportation in ensuring the control and supervision of the continuity and timeliness of Transportation, the operational grain headquarters operates on a daily basis.
