This year, for the first time, the turkicskills professional skills Championship will be held among Turkic-speaking countries, aimed at improving the professional skills of future workers, the press service of the Ministry of Education and science of Kazakhstan reports.
This event will become one of the main events in the framework of the Year of working professions announced by the head of state. The initiative is aimed at developing and promoting professional skills among young people and students of Turkic-speaking countries, identifying best practices in various fields, exchanging experience on innovative solutions with countries with interconnected economies and creating a platform for their implementation.
It is expected that the Championship will be held in Aktau, which was chosen as the cultural capital of TURKSOY in 2025.
For reference: the WorldSkills movement is one of the main tools for increasing the prestige of working professions in the world, uniting 89 countries working together to improve professional competencies and skills. Kazakhstan has been a full member of the international movement WorldSkills International since 2014. For 10 years, about 200 regional and 8 Republican Championships in 30 competencies have been held in the country. Last year, the national team achieved the best results in the history of the country at the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 World Cup, winning 6 medals and awards in the best in the nation nomination.
