This was announced at a briefing in the capital's communications service by Damir Abdugaliyev, Chairman of the Judicial Board for Administrative Cases of the Astana City Court, the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
The capital continues to improve the administrative justice system based on the principles of openness, professionalism and protection of the interests of citizens and businesses.
"In 2024, the Astana City Court considered 4,223 cases, which is 118 more than in the previous year. This indicates an increase in the legal activity of citizens and the business community. It is particularly worth noting the increase in the number of cases completed with judgments to 1,437 (an increase of 2%). Despite the increase in the overall workload, the court has demonstrated the stability and effectiveness of its work. The increase in the number of completed cases indicates the high law enforcement activity of the court and its desire to resolve disputes promptly. We strive to ensure that every citizen and entrepreneur can effectively protect their rights and interests within the framework of current legislation," said Damir Abdugaliev.
In 2024, a significant number of cases were related to customs, tax, and public procurement disputes. The satisfaction rate of claims in key categories remains high: customs disputes were settled in 80.5% of cases, tax disputes in 68.6%, and public procurement disputes in 50.7%. These results demonstrate that the administrative justice system is becoming a reliable tool for protecting the rights of citizens and businesses.
One of the key tasks of the court remains the clarification of the norms of the Administrative Procedural Procedure Code (APPC). The Court actively uses modern communication channels to make legal knowledge available to a wide audience.
"In 2024, the Astana City Court continued to organize events aimed at improving the legal literacy of citizens and strengthening the dialogue between business, society and government agencies. Among the important events of the year are meetings of the Discussion Club on Administrative Justice, round tables on intellectual property, tax and customs disputes, as well as the presentation of the second part of the brochure "APPC is just about complicated," Damir Abdugaliev added.
The Astana City Court remains one of the leaders in the field of administrative justice, forming a positive experience of interaction between the state, citizens and business.
"We are confident that the future of administrative legal proceedings lies in openness, professionalism and close dialogue with society. Our goal is to strengthen trust in justice through clear procedures and fair decisions," said Damir Abdugaliev.
