KazNAIU, together with the Chinese Agrarian University and EAVISION, has opened a Kazakh-Chinese Center for Research and Training on agricultural drone management.
"The main goal of the center is to train students in the management of unmanned aerial vehicles in various sectors of agriculture, as well as to conduct research and introduce new technologies for monitoring, mapping, and environmental studies," Akhylbek Kurishbayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of KazNAIU, said at the opening of the center.
KazNAIU actively cooperates with more than 40 universities, scientific organizations and companies in China. Only in 2024, international centers and laboratories for training specialists in the field of water management, landscape architecture, veterinary medicine, animal engineering, food safety, etc. will be opened at the university for staff training together with Chinese partners.
In particular, together with the Chinese Agrarian University and Dayu Irrigation Group, the Kazakh-Chinese International Laboratory for Highly Efficient Water Use in Arid Areas for Smart Water resources Management has been established. DAYU irrigation Group has invested more than $1 million in the supply of equipment, water metering devices and laboratory equipment. As a result, digital water metering technologies have been introduced on the Shelek River in the Almaty region, and various irrigation technologies have been modeled.
Together with Lanzhou University, the Kazakh-Chinese Center for Smart Agriculture has been established, which provides the transfer of advanced technologies to Kazakhstan. Three scientific laboratories and three platforms are being created within the framework of the center.
Earlier, a joint Kazakh-Chinese enterprise Sunkar Eavision International LLP was established, which will assemble agricultural drones in the territory of the Alatau Information Technology Park.
