78 Kazakhstani crop production enterprises have been accredited by the State Technical University of China

Following negotiations between the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aidarbek Saparov, and the leadership of the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China in Beijing in November 2024, a temporary working group was established to address pressing issues of expanding access to the Chinese market for Kazakh agricultural products.
Meetings of the working group with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China were held on December 25, 2024 and January 10, 2025.
As a result of the negotiations, the Chinese side made a positive decision on the accreditation of 78 Kazakhstani crop production enterprises. The registration process will be carried out in accordance with the procedures and will be published in parts on the official website (http://dzs.customs.gov.cn ) Department of Quarantine of Animals and Plants of the State Technical University of the People's Republic of China.
Also at the first meeting, the Chinese side made proposals and comments on draft protocols on the export of beet pulp from the Republic of Kazakhstan to China and the export of poultry meat, draft veterinary certificates for slaughtered cattle and cattle hides.
The Ministry of Agriculture has initiated a request to train employees of the veterinary and phytosanitary services of Kazakhstan to conduct inspections for compliance with veterinary and quarantine requirements of the PRC, to work with CIFER. This training will increase the awareness of domestic specialists about the specifics of China's export requirements for agricultural products.
At the second meeting of the working group, representatives of the State Technical University noted their interest in importing horse meat and stressed the need to speed up procedures to open access to horse meat exports from Kazakhstan to China.
In general, this working group, as well as negotiations with the State Technical Committee of the People's Republic of China at the level of the first heads of organizations, contributed to the intensification of the dialogue on the promotion of topical issues of the export of Kazakh agricultural products to the Chinese market.
The next meeting of the working group is planned to be held in person at the level of deputy first heads of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Technical University of the People's Republic of China in February 2025.
