The main issues related to the social and cultural development of the Kostanay region were discussed at the regular regional akimat meeting. The President of the country paid special attention to these areas, noting them as the basis for the sustainable development of society.
Rural areas: comfortable life and development
Today, about 38% of the region's population lives in rural areas, so improving their living conditions is our priority.
The "Village - Cradle of the Nation" project is being actively implemented in the region. Within its framework, the infrastructure of rural areas is being improved every year, roads are being repaired, educational, cultural and sports facilities are being built, and municipal infrastructure is being modernized.
This year's planned measures include:
•Repair of 83 access roads and 382 streets in 103 settlements;
•Provide 39 more villages with high-quality drinking water;
•Increase the level of street lighting from 90% to 100% by 2025;
•Carry out major repairs in schools and strengthen their material and technical base.
Special attention is being paid to the sports and culture sectors. The construction of sports facilities, including fitness complexes and hockey courts, will not only increase the opportunities for residents to engage in sports, but also contribute to the social adaptation of the population.
Culture is the driving force of social development
Developing culture is not only about preserving historical heritage, but also about forming national identity.
In 2025, an important event for the region will be the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the Kazakh educator, writer and poet Myrzhakyp Dulatov. Currently, work has begun on the renovation of the museum building in the village of Bidayk, and the issue of erecting a monument to Myrzhakyp Dulatov in the city of Kostanay is being considered.
The main directions of implementing the concept of cultural policy in the region:
•Strengthening the historical and cultural heritage of the region;
•Supporting the creative potential of residents;
•Organizing cultural events aimed at preserving traditions.
Last year, the touring programs of creative teams in rural cultural centers covered about 48 thousand people. This indicates that culture plays an important role as a factor in strengthening social ties.
In addition, the cultural sector is becoming an important direction of economic growth. Tourism, crafts, national music and cinema open up new opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, create jobs and attract investment.
A contribution to the future of the region
The development of rural areas and the cultural sector is an investment in the sustainable development of the region. The introduction of modern technologies, the preservation of traditions and the creation of comfortable living conditions form the basis for the successful future of the region.
The akimat of the Kostanay region will continue to prioritize these areas and take all measures so that every resident feels like a part of a large and successful region.
