The January UNT has started today, which will last until February 10. About 167,000 people have applied to participate in the UNT. Of these, 76.7% expressed a desire to take the test in Kazakh, 23.2% in Russian, 142 people in English.
On the first day of the January UNT, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, visited one of the testing centers in Astana. He got acquainted with the course of the UNT and wished good luck to future students.
"When applying, applicants chose the date, time and place of testing themselves. On the first day of the UNT test, 2,277 people across the country take it, including 155 applicants in the capital. Mathematics-Physics has been the most frequently chosen combination of core subjects for several years in a row – 17.5%. That is, these are future engineers, mechanics, teachers, technicians, technologists, power engineers and builders. This is followed by combinations of Biology-Chemistry (17.3%) and Mathematics–Computer Science (10.3%), respectively, future doctors and IT specialists," said Minister Sayasat Nurbek.
The number of subjects at the UNT remains the same – three compulsory and two to choose from. The number of UNT assignments is 120. Including 20 assignments on "History of Kazakhstan", 10 assignments on "Reading literacy", 10 assignments on "Mathematical literacy" and 40 assignments in two specialized subjects. The maximum number of points is 140 points.
The testing time is 4 hours (240 minutes). It is worth noting that an additional 40 minutes will be saved for children with special educational needs.
Let us remind you that the January UNT involves people who have not scored a threshold score based on the results of summer testing and are enrolled in full-time education on a paid basis, students who want to transfer from creative educational institutions to other areas of training on a paid basis, those who want to transfer to pedagogical areas of training on a paid basis, as well as graduate students. classes of schools for admission to the university on a fee-based basis, if desired.
