NCCEM: AIR AMBULANCE MADE 1,488 SORTIES TO RURAL AREAS

As part of the instructions of the Head of State, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan is implementing a wide range of measures to improve the quality and accessibility of medical care in rural areas.
According to the National Coordination Center for Emergency Medicine, 195 ambulance substations are operating in rural areas to make emergency medical care available to rural residents, as well as 585 NSR brigades per shift, and 887 units of sanitary vehicles are involved.
In 2024, 2,184 medical aviation flights were carried out from the cities of Astana and Almaty, of which 1,488 flights to the regions.
Specialists of the Center for telemedicine and remote medical services, in an enhanced round-the-clock mode with the involvement of qualified specialized specialists from the republican medical organizations of Astana and Almaty, organized 11,784 consultations by phone, of which 70% organized and conducted remote medical services in the regions, including rural areas.
The Republican Stroke Coordination Center is constantly working to monitor the opening of stroke centers and stroke beds in the regions for timely and high-quality medical care for stroke patients.
So today, 12 stroke centers and 162 stroke beds at therapeutic departments operate directly in rural areas for stroke patients.
Creating equal conditions in healthcare for rural and urban residents is an important goal of social reforms.
