The rating tournament on national wrestling "Dala Kyrandary" in the capital's Palace of Martial Arts named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov revealed the strongest dancers of Kazakhstan in eight weight categories.
The best results at the tournament were shown by athletes of the Central Sports Club of the Army, employee Nurdaulet Baktybayuly and private Yerasyl Zhanatayev.
Since the beginning of 2024, five Kazak kuresi rating competitions have been held in Kazakhstan, as a result of which eight wrestlers with the highest score were determined in each weight category.
During the competition, multiple world champions, winners of the V World Nomad Games and the World Martial Arts Games, Asian Cup winners, winners of the Kazakhstan Barys tournament and previous Dala Kyrandary tournaments took to the carpet.
Following the results of the competition, eight athletes were awarded the title of "Bas Baluan" in the "Dala Kyrandary" tournament, with a prize fund of $ 100,000.
Representatives of army sports won in two weight categories – an employee of the Armed Forces Nurdaulet Baktybayuly in the weight of 82 kg and a conscript soldier Yerasyl Zhanatayev in the weight category of 90 kg. Army baloons became owners of a championship belt and certificates worth 5 million tenge.
"I think this is a good result, two of our squad became champions," said Lieutenant Asan Mambetkulov, head of the Kazakh kuresi team at the Central Army Sports Club.
According to the mentor of the champions, these athletes will also represent the Armed Forces in the first-ever CISM World championship among Kazakh kuresi military personnel in August this year.
