"We have signed a memorandum with the Mayor's Office of Astana. It was decided to use the legal possibilities of the law on the Astana agglomeration. We are allocating a large plot now, and the city of Astana will build a state shelter for dogs," Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov said at a press conference in the CCS, answering a journalist's question about how the problem with stray animals is being solved in the region.
The shelter is planned to begin construction next year.
