The driver, an employee of fire trucks of the fire department No. 17 of the Osakarovsky District Department of Emergency Situations of the Karaganda region, Simbat Eshchanov, was awarded the state award "Yerligi Ushin" medal for exemplary performance of official duties in rescuing people.
Recall that on January 3 of this year, on the Almaty – Yekaterinburg highway of republican significance, the Nura – Karaganda shuttle bus got stuck in a snow drift. A group of rescuers, which included Symbat Eschanov, responded to the call and began evacuating more than 30 passengers, including five children. But due to the worsening weather and zero visibility, Symbat Eschanov decided to walk in front of the transport, showing the way. Thanks to the courage of the rescuer, all passengers were safely taken to the evacuation centers.
Senior Sergeant of Civil Protection Symbat Eschanov has been serving in the civil protection authorities since 2012. He has repeatedly participated in emergency response, as well as in rescue and evacuation operations.
