In addition, about 2 thousand families received targeted social assistance. Apartments and houses for 221 families have been purchased. New houses for 330 families have also been built in the region. This was announced at the CCS site by Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov.
According to him, the road infrastructure was also damaged during the flood. Transport links at all sites were promptly restored. Projects are being developed for the subsequent repair of three damaged bridges.
"At the moment, flood control measures in the region have been increased 3 times compared to last year. To date, culverts with a length of 65 km have been carried out in 174 settlements, 38 km of riverbeds have been cleaned, 34 km of waterways have been expanded and deepened. 110 km of dams have been strengthened and 21 km of dams have been erected, culverts are being built and pipelines are being cleaned. Additional hydraulic posts have been set up in 9 settlements to control the water level. In addition, security gateways are being installed in the city of Atbasar. This will ensure the safe flow of flood waters and reduce the risk of flooding of about 400 houses," the speaker said.
Due to the acquisition of a dredger in the Atbasar district, the bottom of the Zhabai River is deepening. The depth of 2.5 km of the river was 5 meters. Similar work was carried out on the Kylshykty River in the regional center. 4.3 km of them have been cleared. Taking into account the proposals of the population, bypass canals with a total length of 8 km have been built in the villages of Talapker and Koyandy of the Tselinograd district. 3 dams are being built at the expense of the Demeu Kazakhstan Foundation, the banks of the Zhabai, Shagalaly and Kalkutan rivers are being strengthened.
Housing construction is one of the priorities of the region's social policy. This year, 530 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in the region, which improved the living conditions of more than 5 thousand families. 9 multi-apartment residential buildings were commissioned at the expense of the budget. 16 more houses will be commissioned by the end of the year. On behalf of the Head of State, socially vulnerable segments of the population are provided with housing by purchasing ready-made apartments.
"This mechanism will allow us to quickly resolve housing issues for large families, orphans and other citizens. 736 apartments have been purchased this year. By the end of the year, we plan to purchase another 104. In general, over the past 5 years, 2,064 families have been provided with housing, this year 2,270 families have been covered. Also this year, a housing renovation program was launched in the city of Kokshetau. We have identified 11 sites. A phased renovation of 150 old houses has begun. This will allow the construction of new social facilities, residential buildings, parks and playgrounds. Thus, we are forming a new image of the city," the head of the region said.
The development of transport infrastructure is also an important and integral part of the development of the region's economy. This year, about 104 billion tenge has been allocated for the construction and repair of roads of local and national importance. It covers 800 km of the way. Special attention was paid here to the renewal of the road network of settlements, including those adjacent to the capital. In Kokshetau, on the shore of Lake Kopa, a high-category highway was built and lighting was installed at the expense of sponsorship funds. In the future, it will relieve the traffic flow on the main roads of the city. The embankment is also being improved. This is an important project, as it is a favorite vacation spot for residents.
