President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pays special attention to the issues of attracting investments. As Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov noted at a press conference in the CCS, this year over 550 billion tenge will be invested in the region, more than 400 billion have already been attracted.
In addition to the main projects implemented in the field of agriculture, a complex for processing legumes and cereals has appeared in the regional center. A feed mill and a cereal production plant are at the completion stage.
In the medium term, it is planned to build a poultry farm in the Zerendinsky district, a second line of a sulfuric acid plant in Stepnogorsk, a mill in the Astrakhan district, a brick factory in the Arshalynsky district, and a plant for the production of aluminum rolled products in the Tselinograd district.
In addition, agreements have been reached on the implementation of investment projects worth over 460 billion tenge. One of the most striking projects is the construction of a locomotive production plant, which in the future will produce 360 units per year.
"We also signed an agreement with a foreign company on the construction of a large plant for deep grain processing. The $650 million project will not only create a thousand jobs, but also increase the country's export potential. As the President noted, such projects are of strategic importance for ensuring the country's food security and increasing added value in the agricultural sector," Marat Akhmetzhanov stressed.
Due to investments in the development of tourism, 2 multifunctional projects are planned: a cottage-hotel type recreation area in the Burabay district, as well as the expansion of the tourist complex in the form of accommodation and sanitary treatment facilities in the Akkol district.
To improve the investment climate of the region, an industrial zone of national importance "Aqmola" has been created.
"There is already a pool of investors interested in locating their production facilities in this area. For example, the creation of a transport and logistics center, domestic production of agricultural aggregates. The Aqmola Invest Investment Attraction Center has also been opened in the capital. On the basis of the Center, meetings were held with 50 companies, most of which are foreign investors," the mayor noted.
By the way, this is the only regional front office represented in the capital with an emphasis on attracting and supporting investors.
