The implementation of the Auyl Amanaty project continues in the Karaganda region. For the development of farming, residents of Bukhar-Zhyrau district are given commodity loans. The project was launched on behalf of the country's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to improve the welfare of the villagers.
Commodity lending works like this: rural residents are provided with a certain number of heads of cattle or small cattle. Within five years, borrowers are obliged to give two out of three heads of offspring to the lender. For example, for one cow in five years, a villager needs to return three calves in the form of a loan payment. After fulfilling this condition and the expiration of five years, the commodity loan will be repaid.
Yevgeny Apeisov, the head of the Shatan peasant farm, became the first participant in the project in the Bukhara-Zhyrau district. He provided five borrowers with three heads of cattle each. Among them are dairy cows, which will bring additional income to the new owners.
Bukhar-Zhyrau district became the first where commodity lending started working. It is planned to launch it later in the rest of the region.
