Vice Minister visited a full-cycle meat enterprise

Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangali Berdalin got acquainted with the activities of KazBeef LLP. The company carries out a full production cycle "from field to counter", starting with breeding livestock and ending with meat processing.
Amangali Berdalin examined the livestock reproducer, which specializes in breeding highly productive breeding cattle of the Angus breed, got acquainted with the process of animal breeding, feeding ration, and livestock conditions.
It contains 1,200 cattle.
The feedlot with a capacity of 15,000 heads has been fully digitized. It contains 11,000 cattle.
The Vice Minister discussed with the company's management issues of veterinary safety, reducing the cost of finished products and improving animal health.
Since 2020, Feedlot Health Management Service (FHMS) has been advising KazBeef LLP on feeding and monitoring the condition of livestock. Cattle are fattened for an average of 250-300 days, and the diet developed by American nutritionists consists of three stages: dairy feeding for up to 6 months, pasture grazing for up to 10-12 months, and balanced grain fattening until reaching a weight of 550 kg.
The next object of the visit was the KazBeef Processing meat processing plant. Since 2018, this company has been producing chilled and frozen products, including semi-finished products, offal, minced meat and burger patties. The production capacity of the plant is 150 head of cattle per day. The products are supplied to the domestic market of Kazakhstan, as well as exported to the countries of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia, including the UAE and Uzbekistan.
At the meeting with the company's management, plans to increase production volumes were discussed as part of the instructions of the Head of State to develop deep processing of agricultural products and expand export markets. The Vice Minister noted the importance of observing high standards of veterinary safety at all stages of production, including slaughter and processing.
