Kazakhstan resumed grain supplies to Iran and Azerbaijan

Kazakhstan continues to strengthen its position in the international grain markets.
According to KTZ, by the end of 2024, 10.6 million tons of grain were transported, including exports of 8.1 million tons.
Among the export destinations: Uzbekistan (3.3 million tons), China (1.7 million tons). 1.2 million tons of grain were delivered to Tajikistan, which is 20% more than in 2023. 140 thousand tons of grain were exported to Kyrgyzstan, which is 1.9 times more than in 2023.
The markets of Iran and Azerbaijan have been restored. Grain supplies to Iran increased by 2 times (526 thousand tons), to Azerbaijan - by 1.8 times (211 thousand tons).
From September to December 2024, 5 million tons of new-harvest grain were transported, which is 50% more than the same period in 2023. Export volumes increased by 57% and amounted to 3.9 million tons.
1.5 million tons were exported to Uzbekistan (an increase of 45%), 633 thousand tons (57%) to Tajikistan, 190 thousand tons (51%) to Afghanistan, and 592 thousand tons (2%) to China.
Supplies to Iran increased by 30 times, amounting to 455 thousand tons, 188 thousand tons were exported to Azerbaijan (there were no supplies in September-December 2023).
