On January 13, 2025, the instructions on organizing anti-terrorist protection of facilities vulnerable to terrorism and operating in the field of education, approved by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 30, 2025, were explained to the management and staff of one of the secondary schools in Ust-Kamenogorsk with the participation of representatives of the territorial departments of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the police and local executive bodies. March 2022, No. 117.
In addition, the following information was provided during the event:
- the list of prohibited items and substances restricted for use in educational institutions and on their territories, approved by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 25, 2021 No. 235;
- requirements for the organization of anti-terrorist protection of facilities vulnerable to terrorism approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 6, 2021 No. 305;
- rules of operation of the National Video Monitoring System, approved by the Order of the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 27, 2020 No. 69-ke;
- updating the passport of anti-terrorist protection of objects vulnerable to terrorism, based on the model approved by the joint order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 14, 2023 No. 481 and the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 26, 2023 No. 51/ke;
- the inevitability of punishment for deliberately false messages;
- signs of an improvised explosive device and the algorithm of actions when they are detected;
- a notification scheme for on-duty services in order to minimize and eliminate the consequences of terrorist threats;
- rules for the establishment and payment of remuneration for information that helped to prevent or suppress an act of terrorism.
The heads of the educational facility received answers to a number of their questions.
