On behalf of the Head of State, systematic work is underway in the country to increase the potential of rural schools.
Today, the country is implementing the Auyl Mektebi – sapa Alany republican project, which includes regional initiatives such as: "Developing the potential of small rural schools using digital technologies" in Aktobe region, "Improving the quality of education in natural mathematics subjects" in Almaty region, "Developing a network of flagship schools "Otp" in Mangystau region, Ustaz Ulytau in Ulytau region.
As a result of the first stage of the project, the material and technical base of rural schools has been updated, modern subject and digital classrooms have been installed, and access to high-quality Internet has been resolved. The project participants have completed special courses on improving digital competence and professional development. Taking into account the technical capabilities of small schools, four learning models have been developed.
"In 2023, 12 basic and 134 small schools with the participation of more than 11 thousand students and about 3.5 thousand teachers of the Aktobe region were involved in the project. In the past, 10 more basic and 30 small-scale schools of Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar, West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions joined it. Starting this year, 192 basic and 769 small schools will participate in the project," said Kanybek Zhumashev, Chairman of the Secondary Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
