Employees of the Ural-Caspian basin fisheries Inspectorate of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan revealed the fact of accumulation of fish fry in the Baksai reservoir in Atyrau region.
According to the interaction scheme, a group of representatives of the inspection, the Department of ecology, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, the Center for scientific and industrial fisheries and the veterinary service arrived at the place of collection of Fry. As a result of the measures taken, about 180 thousand pieces of Fish Fry were saved.
Samples of water and fish were taken for laboratory tests.
A preliminary reason for the threat of mass death of fish fry is the low level of dissolved oxygen in the water due to the icing of the water channel.
In accordance with the established procedure, work is underway to collect and dispose of dead fish fry.
This situation was brought under special control.
