The head of the region, Askhat Shakharov, visited the Alginsky district hospital, where major repairs were carried out. The hospital completely replaced the heating system, windows, doors, flooring, and carried out roofing work.
Alibek Kuashov, the chief physician, said that the hospital was built in 1975 and is designed for 500 visits per day. There are 71 beds in the 24-hour hospital. Patients can also receive treatment in a 90-bed day hospital. There are 70 doctors and 273 employees of the secondary medical staff working here. 1 FAP and 19 outpatient clinics of the Alginsky district are attached to the medical institution. In 2024, the building of the food store and the utility building were completely renovated.
The governor of the region examined the hospital after the completed repairs and got acquainted with the conditions created for patients. He noted the importance of modernizing medical institutions to provide high-quality and affordable care to the population, especially in rural areas.
"A CT scanner has been installed in the district hospital for 187 million tenge. In the near future, a new mobile fluorography complex and a mammograph will be delivered here. We try to provide for the needs of medical institutions in the districts through the local budget. Maslikhat deputies also always support the requests of rural healthcare," A. Shakharov noted.
In turn, the hospital staff expressed gratitude for the attention paid to rural healthcare by the local authorities.
"A very good repair was carried out in the hospital, the food hall and the household unit were also repaired for us. It's not just the regional center that has such good initiatives. More recently, two medical centers have been opened in remote villages, and an outpatient clinic is being built. It is worth noting that the district's ambulance fleet has been provided and updated by 100%, which undoubtedly improved the work of the ambulance service," said epidemiologist Amet Nabiev.
