In the Zhetisu region, residents of two villages of the Koksu district with a population of about a thousand people received access to gas. The long-awaited blue fuel has arrived in the villages of Kenaral and 10 years of Kazakhstan, the press service of the akim of the Zhetisu region reports.

- Today, the gasification level of the Zhetisu region is 51.6%. 52 settlements were gasified, 349.7 thousand people received access to gas. By the end of the year, 11 more settlements will be connected to gas. As a result, by the end of 2024, the gasification level will amount to 63 settlements or 56.5% of the region's population, Deputy head of the regional Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services Azamat Beisbayev said.

As for the Koksu district, as of today, 18 settlements out of 26 that are subject to gasification have already been gasified in the district. Gas distribution networks are also being built in 7 settlements. These are the villages of Talapty, Aktekshe, Ainabulak, Akshatogan, Podkhoz P 4-45, Karatal, Koksu station. A contract has been signed for construction and installation works in the village of Nadirizbek. Thus, by the end of 2025, the Koksu district will be 100% gasified.

- We have been waiting for this moment for a long time, and today the gas came to our native village. Of course, gas will significantly improve the quality of our lives, especially in winter. It will be possible to forget about heavy buckets of coal, chopping firewood and removing ashes, which is especially difficult for us, the people of the older generation," said elder S. Kenaral Orynbasar Zhylkybayev.

Residents of the village of 10 years of Kazakhstan with a population of over 500 people, who also got access to the long-awaited blue fuel, are no less happy.  According to the villagers, access to natural gas makes their lives more comfortable and modern, contributing to the development of their native village.

By the way, work on the construction of gas pipelines in the villages of Kenaral and 10 years of Kazakhstan was started in November last year. The total length is 17.8 km.
