Another raid was conducted in the Almaty metropolitan area, which revealed cases of illegal sale of tobacco and other non-smoking tobacco products, the official website of the city akimat reports.
The event was organized jointly by law enforcement agencies and the district akimat.
During the raid, police officers checked business facilities located in large residential areas. According to the results of the event, no facts of illegal trade in naswai and snus were revealed.
In addition, preventive discussions were held with the store owners. The guards recalled the strict ban on the sale of non-smoking tobacco products, warning of administrative liability for such violations in accordance with Article 196 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"We regularly conduct preventive raids. Today's inspection revealed no violations. Nevertheless, we reminded entrepreneurs of their responsibility for non—compliance with the law," said Galymbek Maulenov, a district inspector of Almaty district.
The raids to identify violations are aimed at preventing bad habits among young people and increasing the responsibility of entrepreneurs to comply with the law. Similar preventive measures are carried out in all districts of the capital.
