The municipal services of the capital continue to operate around the clock without interruption.
Thousands of people and special equipment are involved in snow removal operations every day, the official website of Astana Akimat reports.
Since the morning of January 16, more than 2,600 road workers and more than 1,300 pieces of special equipment have started snow removal work.
Over the past night, from January 15 to January 16, more than 25 thousand cubic meters of snow were transported from the capital by 1,871 flights to snow ranges.
Since the beginning of the winter period, over 3.2 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city on 255,673 heavy-duty flights.
First of all, according to the rules, places with very heavy traffic are cleared to avoid traffic jams. Areas of moderate intensity are also being cleaned – squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
The cleaning of central streets, passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow training grounds in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading vehicle license plates, video surveillance cameras and lighting.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, observe safety regulations, and do not travel long distances if there is a storm warning.
In case of an emergency, please call 112.
