Today, the opening of the Kamkorlyk rehabilitation center took place in the Zhetisu region, whose work is aimed at the comprehensive rehabilitation of children with neurological diagnoses aged 3 to 18 years. These measures are being taken in the region as part of the execution of the President's instructions to involve the non-governmental sector in solving the important social task of rehabilitating children with disabilities, the press service of the regional akim Zhetisu reports.
The rehabilitation center was established on the basis of the Central District Hospital of the Sarkan district, where a major renovation of one of the buildings was carried out at the expense of the budget. Due to the sponsorship of a number of public funds, the center is equipped with everything necessary, taking into account modern requirements. In addition, the center has a physical therapy room, therapeutic shungite, salt and interactive rooms, as well as an immersion bath and more.
As Lazzat Chinkisbayeva, deputy chairman of the Kazakhstan Halkyna Public Foundation, noted, the center will provide rehabilitation services not only to residents of Sarkan, but also to the nearest districts, that is, Aksu and Alakol.
- As the Head of State emphasizes, it is necessary to ensure the quality of rehabilitation and its accessibility for special children. In this regard, the opening of such a modern rehabilitation center in the district is an important step. We also provide assistance in the training and advanced training of specialists," L. Chinkisbayeva said.
Rehabilitation services at the center will be provided by a neurologist, rehabilitologist, pediatrician and therapist, orthopedist, speech therapist, speech pathologist, psychologist and other necessary specialists.
In particular, medical specialists come from other regions.:
- I came to work specially from Atyrau. Here in the rehabilitation center, all conditions have been created to ensure social adaptation and the development of the child's cognitive sphere. I am a rehabilitologist by profession. For my part, I will make every effort to improve the quality of rehabilitation for children," said Asem Nurkasymova, a young specialist.
The project is aimed at the rehabilitation of children with central nervous system disorders, their social adaptation and the prevention of early disability. The center will be able to accommodate up to 600 children per year, offering a 21-day recovery course. At the same time, to ensure continuity, children have the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation every 2-3 months. Every month, the center has the opportunity to receive 50 children with diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, prematurity, Down syndrome, congenital malformations, progressive muscular dystrophy, birth injuries and other diseases of the nervous system accompanied by motor disorders.
- My child has cerebral palsy, so to carry out the rehabilitation complex, we had to travel to Taldykorgan, then to Almaty and Astana. Now, with the opening of a modern rehabilitation center in our city, everything will become much easier, you will not have to travel far often. Moreover, it is very difficult, and the child needs comprehensive and continuous rehabilitation. I have already familiarized myself with the center's facilities, and I am pleased with what I have seen. I wish our children good health and a bright future," said Mayra Tursinova, a resident of Sarkan.
It should be noted that the opening of the children's rehabilitation center was made possible thanks to the joint work of the regional administration and charitable foundations.
