The region is actively working to attract children to sports. More than 22 thousand children are engaged in 17 sports sections of the region, which is 75.7% more than last year. This was told by the governor of the region Serik Shapkenov at a press conference in the Central Communications Service.

– In order to create conditions for effective leisure for children and the formation of a healthy generation, we are increasing the number of sports facilities. Five sports facilities have been opened since the beginning of the year. Currently, 14 more are under construction. There are 20,358 children involved in sports in the region. I am pleased with the desire of the younger generation to lead a healthy lifestyle," S. Shapkenov said.

In addition, the head of the region added that work on digitalization of this area will begin in 2025. This will allow monitoring the use of allocated funds, collecting data on professional athletes and employees in this field, and ensuring transparency in the selection process. In addition to these works, next year it is planned to begin construction of a stadium for 12 thousand people and a national sports complex. In general, these measures will give an impetus to the development of sports and create conditions for the professional training of young athletes in the region.
