Astana continues to strengthen and tighten efforts to combat acts of vandalism and damage to other people's property. Representatives of law enforcement agencies, together with the city authorities, are actively carrying out activities aimed at detecting and preventing such offenses, the official website of the akimat reports.
Over 360 facts worth 17 million 112 thousand 420 tenge were revealed for vandalism in 2024. In 2025, since the beginning of the year, 10 facts in the amount of 393 thousand 200 tenge.
337 citizens were brought to justice for vandalism, 198 of them were fined, 139 people were punished with administrative arrest.
All the violators were found and brought to administrative responsibility under Article 147-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
One of the cases occurred in one of the city's apartment buildings, where a 34-year-old resident deliberately broke down an elevator door by kicking it. The police identified the violator and as a result, he was prosecuted for intentionally destroying or damaging other people's property. By a court decision, the man was arrested for 15 days and placed in a special detention facility for administratively arrested people. Astana.
