Raid measures are being carried out in Astana to identify the illegal sale of non-smoking tobacco products, the official website of the Mayor's Office of the city reports.
Similar verification events were held in the shops of the Saryarkinsky district. The akimat of the district, the district police department, as well as the active youth of the capital took part in them.
First of all, the territories where many complaints are received are checked. For example, the territory of the old railway station. Such events are held daily.
In 2024, 70 cases of illegal sale of non-smoking tobacco products were identified in the city. Entrepreneurs were fined more than 3 million tenge.
During the raids, avenues of the Republic, Pobedy, Goethe, A. Moldagulova, Y.Dukenuly streets, etc. were covered.
"If during the raid the persons who sold the nasvai are identified, the punishment provided for by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be applied against them, and the nasvai will be confiscated. On the instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the raid measures will continue in the future," said Galymzhan Kabir, district police inspector of the Saryarkinsky district police department.
In order to prevent the use of non-smoking tobacco products, a working group for the city of Astana has been established. Raids in this direction are regularly carried out in all districts of the capital.
It should be noted that the raids continue in all six districts of the capital.
