Private individuals, without coordination with the city services, carried out work on puncturing asphalt at night and damaged a gas pipe. Due to unprofessional and irresponsible actions, the work of several boiler houses was suspended.
150 workers and 6 pieces of equipment of QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC were involved in the repair and restoration work. To ensure uninterrupted heat supply to some consumers, the operation of the Airport boiler house of ATKE LLP was forced to switch to reserve fuel oil.
As of 2 p.m., the damage to the gas pipeline has been repaired. Specialists will perform a crimping of the system, after which, to ensure the safety of consumers, a house-by-house bypass and a phased connection of the gas supply will be carried out. We ask residents to observe safety precautions and refrain from connecting themselves.
It was established that the cafe owner and the contractor did not receive the necessary permission from the city utilities to carry out the work. The Turksib district Police Department has launched an investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice within the framework of current legislation.
The Office of Urban Planning Control of Almaty has initiated an unscheduled check on this fact. Based on the results, administrative measures will be taken for the violations committed and an order will be issued to eliminate them.
