One of the primary issues for the population is housing affordability. Social well-being is inextricably linked to the housing issue. At the same time, housing construction, solving social issues, can become the engine of economic growth.
Last year, significant progress was made in the Akmola region in solving housing issues, improving the level of comfort and quality of life. The housing issue has been resolved by more than 6 thousand families.
28 multi-family residential buildings were built at the expense of budgetary funds, which is more than 1.5 thousand apartments. Of these, 4 houses are intended for socially vulnerable segments of the population who are on the waiting list of local executive bodies for housing, 20 houses as loan housing, and 4 more apartment buildings were built for families affected by floods in the spring of 2024.
The government has introduced additional approaches to providing the population with housing, as well as to maintain stability in the consumer market for the construction of new commercial housing facilities by purchasing homes for socially vulnerable segments of the region's population from private developers. 850 apartments were purchased in 10 regions of the region for socially vulnerable segments of the population. The main drivers of apartment buybacks were the regional center and the city of Kosshy, which purchased 318 apartments and 180 apartments, respectively, as well as the Burabay district, which bought 92 apartments for socially vulnerable segments of the population.
By the end of the year, about 2.5 thousand families of various social groups of the region were provided with new housing.
Work in this direction will continue.
In 2025, it is planned to complete the construction of 24 apartment buildings in the region, which will ensure an improvement in the standard of living of another 932 families.
It is also planned to purchase 251 apartments for those on the waiting list – socially vulnerable segments of the population.
With additional budget allocation, it is possible to purchase 1,000 more apartments, which will significantly expand the scope of the program.
Housing construction contributes to a significant improvement in the housing and social conditions of citizens.
The measures taken help to make life more stable for many Akmola residents.
Each new house is a step towards a better future for the entire region.
