Today, Akim of Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev conducted a working visit to the regional center, during which he got acquainted with a number of significant facilities aimed at developing urban infrastructure and improving the quality of life of the population.
The first point of the visit was the ASP Arena tourist and sports complex. The Governor of the region inspected the complex, designed for sports and cultural events, stressing:
“ASP Arena is a vivid example of how we can combine sports, culture and tourism to create not only a new attraction, but also a source of inspiration for young people and residents of the region. This is a project that opens up new horizons for Konaev.”
Recall that on January 16, the largest ice rink in Central Asia, with an area of 20,600 square meters, was launched in Konayev, which became the epicenter of the brightest winter event of the year – the WINTER ASIA DRIFT SHOW! This is not just a tournament, but a grand celebration of speed, skill and adrenaline. Experienced pilots from different countries and from all over Kazakhstan will compete for the title of the best in winter drift.
Then the akim of the region visited the construction site of the multifunctional educational center, where he was presented with the progress of the work. The center will include modern educational facilities and office space, which will expand educational opportunities for young people in an area of more than 3,000 square meters. The planned completion of the facility is the 2nd quarter of 2025.
Attention was also paid to the development of urban recreational infrastructure. Marat Sultangaziev inspected beach No. 6, where work is underway to modernize the territory. Discussing the project, the mayor noted that the renovated beach will become one of the favorite vacation spots of the townspeople.
Another key object is the Almaty Demalys beach, which is undergoing a large-scale reconstruction. The new project provides for the creation of a resort complex that meets international standards.
Summing up the visit, Marat Sultangaziev noted:
“The city of Konayev has great potential, and our task is to develop it comprehensively. Every project, whether it's educational centers, tourist complexes, or recreation areas, is a step forward for the entire region. We will continue to work to create comfortable conditions for the life and development of our citizens.”
The Mayor gave instructions to accelerate the implementation of planned projects and stressed the need for strict quality control of the work performed.
