Residents of one of the youngest cities in the country are celebrating a housewarming party today. 93 families in the city of Kossy have become owners of new housing.
The list of recipients of the long-awaited square meters includes mothers with many children, disabled people of groups 1 and 2, orphaned children, parents raising children, single–parent families.
The new apartments were purchased as part of the Concept for the development of housing and Communal infrastructure for 2023-2029, implemented at the initiative of the Head of State. The houses are located in a promising area of Kossy and are within walking distance of social facilities with the necessary infrastructure.
Congratulating the new settlers, Akim of the Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov noted that the issue of housing is one of the important areas of activity of the city authorities.
"The Head of State pays special attention to the implementation of social projects aimed primarily at increasing the well-being and improving the quality of life of Kazakhstanis. The construction of new residential buildings is gaining momentum in the region. In recent years alone, over 200 billion tenge has been invested in housing construction in the region, and about 2 million square meters of housing have been commissioned. As a result, about 12 thousand Akmola families solved housing issues. This year we plan to award about 2 thousand apartments for all categories of citizens," M. Akhmetzhanov emphasized.
"Today we received the keys to our house. Our family thanks the President of the country for this opportunity. I am very glad that the house has been renovated. The apartment is bright and cozy - come in and live," said Kulshat Tokpetova, a mother of five children.
By the way, since last year, approaches to solving the housing issue have been changed, additional measures have been introduced to provide citizens with housing. Additionally, funds have been allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of 850 apartments for socially vulnerable citizens. In particular, the keys to 180 new apartments were received in the city of Kossy.
As a result, the housing conditions of almost 2.5 thousand families on the waiting list for housing from the state fund have been improved over the year, including the construction of 1.5 thousand and the purchase of 850 apartments in 10 regions of the region. 661,000 square meters of housing is the result of housing construction in the region, which means that 6.3 thousand residents of Akmola now live in new and comfortable apartments.
