318 medals competed at the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad

The XXI international Zhautykov Olympiad of schoolchildren in mathematics, physics and computer science (IZhO 2025) has come to an end in Astana. About 700 students and 150 leaders from 15 countries took part in the Olympiad.
Minister of Education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gani Beisembayev congratulated the participants and guests of the Olympiad.

"Today is a significant day for the education system. For 21 years in a row, this Olympiad named after the outstanding scientist-mathematician, academician orymbek Zhautikov has been forming a whole generation of talented mathematicians. The International zhautykov Olympiad has become a platform for bringing together hundreds of talented students, demonstrating their knowledge and introducing Kazakh culture and traditions. Each of the participants showed decent results in such fundamental sciences as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and today raised the flag of their country with dignity on the world stage," the minister said in his address to the participants.

In total, 318 medals were awarded at the XXI International zhautykov Olympiad: 69 gold, 100 silver and 149 bronze.

The title of absolute winner of the Olympiad was awarded to the presidential physics and mathematics Lyceum No. 239 in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.

In the nomination" the best Olympic team "I place was won by the Lyceum" second school " named after V. F. Ovchinnikov in Moscow.

The second place was shared by the mathematical Gymnasium in Belgrade, Serbia, and the Fiztech Lyceum named after P. Kapitsa in Dolgoprudny, Russia.

Kazakh schoolchildren took the third place in the Republican School of physics and mathematics in Almaty. Also, the third place was shared by the Moscow Lyceum "Vorobyovy Gory" and the Turkish Scientific School TUBITAK.

In total, Kazakhstani schoolchildren won 116 medals. Among them are 21 gold, 33 silver and 62 bronze medals.

The participants of the Olympiad were awarded special prizes from the Nurlan Kapparov Foundation and special prizes in each subject. The winners of the Grand Prix were awarded laptops with cups. All prize-winners were awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
