The number of new sports facilities in Turkestan is increasing annually, the construction of which is under strict control. Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy visited the Bekzat Sattarkhanov sports complex to check the progress of the work. He gave instructions on the interior design of the complex, which is scheduled to open in the coming days.
The new modern sports complex will house the staff of the A. Nurmakhanov Sports School. Sports events will be held here, as well as training camps in boxing, wrestling, taekwondo and game sports.
The sports complex consists of three floors and includes modern sports and gyms, eight locker rooms, showers, a conference room, a dining room, a medical aid room, a waiting area, guest rooms, rooms for coaches and administrative staff.
The person responsible for the construction is Stroy Service–7 LLP. The total area of the complex is 1.8 hectares, the area of the building itself is 7,248 square meters. The capacity of the complex is 1000 people, and its cost is 3.1 billion tenge.
The governor of the region also visited the construction site of a new modern racetrack. The construction of the facility takes place in two stages. At the first stage, 2 billion tenge was allocated from the regional budget, and work has already begun. The new racetrack will be located on an area of 99 hectares. The total cost of the multifunctional sports facility is 13.5 billion tenge. There are also zones for other sports aimed at developing national traditions.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pays special attention to the development of mass sports. Over the past three years, more than 100 sports facilities have been put into operation in the region. Among them are the Turkestan Arena Stadium, the Ice Palace, the Tennis Center, the Olympic Center sports complex, which were highly appreciated by the population. Seven tennis courts have been built and 51 kilometers of bike paths have been laid. The October Zharylkapov Stadium was also renovated.
