In the Abai region, they intend to prevent an increase in prices for socially important products. Deputy Akim of the region Kuanysh Suleimenov visited potato storage facilities in Semey to check the state of stocks and ensure the stability of supplies.
According to the stabilization fund of JSC SEC Semey, an agreement was signed with Agrofirma Prirechnoye LLP to maintain prices for basic vegetables. As part of the agreement, the city's retail outlets are provided with potatoes, cabbage, carrots and garlic.
According to the established rules, from November 1, 2024 to May 2025, products from the stabilization fund will be delivered to 10 large supermarkets, 9 retail outlets of the fund and more than 40 small shops at a fixed price of 115 tenge per kilogram.
At the moment, 12 to 15 tons of vegetables are delivered to the city every day. The responsible persons assured that the volume of products in the storages is sufficient to cover the needs of the population.
Now potatoes are sold in shops and markets of the city at a price of 250-300 tenge per kilogram. The deputy akim instructed to monitor uninterrupted supplies from storage facilities and prevent unjustified price increases in order to maintain the availability of products to the public.
