Municipal services of the city carry out round-the-clock snow removal work in an uninterrupted mode, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
On January 20, more than 1,400 units of special equipment and more than 300 road workers went on the night shift for snow removal work.
On the afternoon of January 20, more than 2,868 heavy-cargo flights took out over 36,000 cubic meters of snow from Astana.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 3.5 million cubic meters of snow have been transported to landfills on 278,607 flights.
According to the rules, first of all, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared in the city so that there is no congestion on the roads. Areas with moderate intensity are also being cleared of snow — squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
Cleaning on central streets, passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks is a priority.
There are several equipped snow training grounds in the capital. They are equipped with a system for reading the license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is connected.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, observe safety regulations, and refrain from long-distance travel in case of a storm warning.
In case of an emergency, please call 112.
