The construction of a new reception and diagnostic complex (MPC) is in full swing in Astana. The commissioning of the medical complex is planned before the end of this year.
"In the future, the new reception and diagnostic complex (MPC) will be considered the flagship center, which is a modern building designed and equipped according to the latest international standards. This complex will combine two buildings - clinical and obstetric of the City Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 2, which will allow all patients to be admitted in one common emergency room," said Aliya Rustemova, head of the capital's Health Department.
According to Aliya Rustemova, the new medical facility will house a trauma center for residents of the left bank of the city, because as you know, there are currently only three adult trauma centers in the city on the right bank.
The flow of patients in the waiting room will be regulated by the triage system: sorting patients and providing prompt medical care (it will be located on 1-2 floors).
"The preliminary estimated load will be about 900 requests per day.
There are also operating rooms where operations for emergency patients will be performed. The operating rooms will be equipped with modern equipment. CT, MRI and an angiograph will also be installed in the MPC," the head of the department added.
According to the Management, a new PACS system with artificial intelligence software will be installed in the kit, which will serve as an additional tool for radiologists.
It is planned to open an additional intensive care unit with 14 beds. The reception area will be divided into yellow and red streams: a shock ward with 14 beds, and a general direction with 14 beds. It will also provide for the opening of two departments with 70 beds.
Already today, innovative projects have been implemented in the city multidisciplinary hospital N2, the experience of which is being adopted from all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
